I’m Wei Meng, or Vera Meng in English. I’m an artist from China and currently residing in Dubai. My artwork primarily explores watercolor and Chinese-ink as mediums, focusing on the beauty of plants and landscapes in nature.My watercolor artworks in recent years have been selected for exhibitions in the UK, Dubai, the US, China and other places, and some of them have won awards. My Artistic Philosophy
It's a great honor to meet you all here. My current creative focus is mainly on the flowers, plants and landscapes in nature, and the primary media I use are watercolor and Chinese ink painting. I greatly appreciate the fluidity, ever-changing nature and various uncertainties brought by water-based media, which offer a highly challenging artistic experience. At the same time, my creations are deeply influenced by Chinese Taoist and Buddhist cultures, and I am committed to combining Western watercolor techniques with Chinese ink painting to explore a new expression style that integrates the artistic features of both the East and the West. On the basis of realistic painting, I also try to introduce the unique composition, color application and artistic conception expression of Chinese painting to enrich the artistic connotation of my works.
